KOV is a Philadelphia-based company formed by health conscious individuals. The company is not only focused on providing healthy, natural food alternatives, but also on making a difference in our community and in the world. KOV is made at an old dairy farm, a family-owned company in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They run their dairy ice cream through the machine as they have for years. After each run the equipment is washed thoroughly, completely taken apart right down to the nuts and bolts - literally! It is then left to air dry for a certain time period for koshering, put back together, then washed again before KOV is produced. KOV is the first run of the day so it is made in a clean machine to assure safe practices. All of the add-ons that the dairy uses in their ice cream, like nuts, peanut butter, or gluten are put in on a separate day with separate equipment that is never used by KOV. It is a very clean, efficient plant, small and family run for extra care. The goal for KOV is to have all separate equipment, to build on at the site near the barn in the near future.
